About the Cunningham 8P Hyperbaric Chamber
Fact: In 1928, Dr. Orval J. Cunningham envisioned hyperbaric therapy on a monumental scale, creating one of the largest chambers ever built to host dozens of patients simultaneously. Nearly a century later, the Cunningham 8P refines that pioneering ambition into a state-of-the-art system engineered for today’s most rigorous standards of safety, efficiency, and patient care.
With its robust hard-shell steel construction, redundant safety systems, and clinical-grade certification under ASME PVHO-1, the 8P represents the pinnacle of multi-person HBOT. Designed to accommodate up to eight individuals at once, it is the ultimate choice for hospitals, specialized clinics, and advanced wellness facilities seeking to deliver hyperbaric oxygen therapy at scale combining capacity with uncompromised quality and comfort.
Unique Features
The Cunningham 8P by HBOT4LIFE is the most versatile multi-person hyperbaric chamber, designed to adapt to the needs of hospitals, clinics, and wellness centers. Its modular ring system allows easy transport, on-site assembly, and flexible configurations for entry points and seating capacity.
Built in reinforced A516 GR70 steel and certified under ASME PVHO-1, it combines large-scale patient care with uncompromising safety. With seating for up to eight users, individual oxygen connections, and redundant safety systems, the 8P delivers reliable performance for both wellness (2.0 ATA) and medical-grade treatments (3.0 ATA).

Ergonomic interior with individual seating and oxygen connections
Adaptable pressure range: 2.0 ATA (wellness) to 3.0 ATA (medical)
Durable, low-maintenance design for intensive daily use
Built with non-toxic, medical-grade, oxidation-resistant components
Full training and support included for safe, efficient operation
Exterior
Adaptable modular design
Windows
HBOT4LIFE equipped its chambers with the two largest and strongest windows available on the market.
Control Panel
The control panel displays the air-in/air-out control valves, the oxygen-in site and oxygen meter, the static air/flowthrough system control and its gauge.
Entry Door
The entry door is lock-free. The sealing gasket enables the door to open automatically when the chamber is depressurizing.
The air-in/air-out Valves
The valves regulate and maintain
the desired pressure.
Hidden Wheels
Easily move the chamber to a preferred location. The wheels are aesthetically hidden below the skirt.

Air In / Air Out
Control Valves
The Air In / Air Out Valves are easily accessible on both the interior and exterior control panel. With a twist of a valve the chamber can be pressurized or depressurized.
Air Silencers
Air Silencers reduce noise levels inside and outside the chamber making the treatment more comfortable.
Flow Through and
Static Air System Valve
Our chambers can be used as a Static
Air system or Flow-Through system.
In the static air setting, pressure is built
up inside the chamber and is
maintained at the desired level by the
Static Air Valve. The valve will
automatically cut off the air coming
into the chamber and thereafter
maintain the pressure at that level.

Smart
modular design
Our Cunningham 8P chamber are designed with a modular system that allows on-site installation. Each module is engineered to fit through standard 95 cm doorways, ensuring easy transport, access, and assembly without structural modifications.
Installation made simple, anywhere.

Frequently Asked Questions
You can better understand the concepts behind hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) by knowing some basic terms:
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy describes a person breathing 100 percent oxygen at a pressure greater than sea level for a prescribed amount of time—usually 60 to 90 minutes..
ATA refers to gauge pressure that is true regardless of location. This way, a standard depth can be reached whether located above or below sea level.
The air we breathe is made up of 20.9 percent oxygen, 79 percent nitrogen, and 0.1 percent inert gases. Normal air exerts pressure because it has weight and this weight is pulled toward the earth’s center of gravity. The pressure experienced is expressed as atmospheric pressure. Atmospheric pressure at
sea level is 14.7 pounds per square inch (psi).
As you climb above sea level, the atmospheric pressure decreases because the amount of air above you weighs less. If you dive below sea level, the opposite occurs (the pressure increases) because water has weight that is greater than air. Thus, the deeper one descends under water the greater the pressure. This pressure is called hydrostatic pressure.
There are various terms for measuring pressure. HBO therapy uses pressure greater than that found at the earth’s surface at sea level, which is called hyperbaric pressure. The terms or units used to express hyperbaric pressure include millimeters or inches of mercury (mmHg, inHg), pounds per square inch (psi), feet or meters of sea water (fsw, msw), and atmospheres absolute (ATA). One atmosphere absolute, or 1 ATA, is the average atmospheric pressure exerted at sea level, or 14.7 psi. Two atmosphere absolute, or 2 ATA, is twice the atmospheric pressure exerted at sea level. If a physician prescribes a one hour
HBOT treatment at 2 ATA, the patient breathes 100 percent oxygen for one hour while at two times the atmospheric pressure at sea level.
Various terms can be used to measure pressure. Hyperbaric therapy works with pressure greater than which is found on sea level.
The units used to express hyperbaric pressure include millimeters or inches of mercury (mmHg, inHg), pounds per square inch (psi), feet or meters of sea water (fsw, msw), and atmospheres absolute (ATA). 1 ATA, is the average atmospheric pressure seen at sea level, or 14.7 psi. Two atmosphere absolute, or 2 ATA, is twice the atmospheric pressure exerted at sea level.
A treatment in a hyperbaric chamber at 2 ATA will mean an exposure to two times as much oxygen compared to normal circumstances.
A hyperbaric chamber is a safe and tested environment in which a person can be supplied with pure oxygen through a mask. The chambers are made from the strongest material so that they can hold and maintain the pressure.
After the completion of the treatment you feel amazing, relaxed, concentrated and energized, but you can also experience a pleasant tiredness. Next to that, the therapy continues for approximately 6 more hours, because of a higher concentration of oxygen in your body.
